Computers as Coolhunters…?

“Coolhunters” – people who spot and predict cultural trends and new product popularity – have been offering their quirky, intuitive services since the 90s.   While it’s useful to have advisors with a finger on the market’s pulse, they can be a subjective bunch.  And the continual pressure on them to come up with saleable intel may lead them to seize on every minor fad, and dud predictions.
